No: 329, 19 December 2020, Press Release Regarding the Terrorist Attack in Galkayo, Somalia
We are saddened to receive the news that many people, including high level Somalian authorities have lost their lives, and many were injured in the terrorist attack perpetrated by Al Shabab, which took place yesterday (18th December) in the Galkayo city of Somalia.
We strongly condemn this heinous attack. We extend our condolences to the brotherly people and Government of Somalia, wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to the injured.
Turkey will continue its strong support to Somalia in the fight against terrorism.
