I have the pleasure of taking up my duties as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Slovenia on 15 March 2021.

Bilateral relations between Türkiye and Slovenia are based on mutual respect, understanding and friendship.

Türkiye has also multi-dimensional relationship with Slovenia which is both a NATO and an EU member.

The relations were raised to the level of “strategic partnership” with a document signed by the Presidents of both countries during their tenures as Prime Ministers in 2011.

On the other hand, the relations in the fields of economy, trade, transportation and culture contributes to the cooperation process between the two countries. Geographical proximity between the two countries presents vast opportunities for further improving our ties.

Due to its geographical location, Slovenia is also important for our citizens living in other European countries and travelling to Türkiye, as well as for our hauliers who transport goods to European countries.

We firmly believe that the friendship and mutual understanding among Turkish and Slovenian people will be further developed through valuable contributions of our citizens who have been living or doing business in Slovenia, thus acting as a bridge between Türkiye and Slovenia.

We, as the members of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye are here to provide every assistance you need, as well as to further the relations between the two countries.
