Press Release Regarding the Terrorist Attack Perpetrated in the Pakistani city of Mardan

We have learned with sorrow that as a result of a suicideattack perpetrated today (2 September)against a court in the Mardan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, according to initial reports at least 12 people were killed and more than 40 were injured.

We condemn in the strongest terms this heinous act of terrorism which targeted the stability of Pakistan, extend our condolences to the Government and people of Pakistan, wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.

On this occasion, we reaffirm that Turkey will continue to provide every support to Pakistan as well as in its fight against terrorism with the conviction that terrorism has no justification and the Government of Pakistan and the brotherly Pakistani people will be successful in the fight against terrorism.
