Announcement of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey regarding the state of emergency and the situation of tourists travelling to Turkey

Lübliyana Büyükelçiliği 22.07.2016

The nation-wide state of emergency which was declared as from 21st of July 2016 for three months is a package of measures to be implemented by the State within the constitutional legal rules to increase the security measures in order to combat the threats against the rights and freedoms of people. This package of measures do not contain any element restricting the fundamental rights and freedoms. Like wise, the security measures to be carried out will not affect the daily lives of Turkish citizens and the travels and holidays of the foreign visitors who are planning to travel to Turkey. The measures do not constitute an obstacle for the tourism activities and air traffic. No negative situation exists for our guests enjoying their holidays safely in all our destinations.
