Press Release Regarding the Suicide Attack Perpetrated at the Border Crossing between Pakistan and India

We have learned with deep sorrow that, according to initial reports, sixty people including women and children lost their lives, approximately eighty people were wounded, among them thirty severely injured as a result of the suicide attack perpetrated at the early evening hours on 2 November 2014 at the Pakistan side of the Wagah border crossing between Pakistan and India.

We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in this heinous terrorist attack, convey our condolences to their families and wish a speedy recovery to those wounded.

We strongly condemn all types of terrorist attacks targeting peace and security of brotherly Pakistan and aiming at damaging its internal stability. On this occasion, we confirm once again our strong feelings of solidarity with the friendly Government and people of Pakistan.
